Jan O'Hara, the Chief Executive of T@lecom Ltd, has been elected to the Board of the Mobile Data Association.

It is a significant step for Jan who launched T@lecom just two years ago to provide cost effective real time mobile data solutions to the transport and logistics industry.

The Mobile Data Association is one of the most influential bodies in the mobile data arena and provides industry advice and consultancy to government agencies and involved in setting the standards in the radio communication industry. There are over 80 members of the council drawn from all areas of the mobile data communications industry.

Since its launch T@lecom has gone from strength to strength building up an impressive portfolio of customers ranging from parcels and logistics companies to aggregate and the NHS all benefiting from the company's unique suite of Wireless Delivered products. Current customers include Concord Logistics, Scarlet Couriers, Warwickshire Ambulance Service and Fernley Airport Services.

Wireless Delivered is fast becoming recognised as the most advanced range of mobile data solutions available to the transport industry. The affordable real-time job control and signature capture system, enabling the instant transfer of data and delivery information between any back office system and field employee via a PDA device is proving to meet a much needed requirement in the industry and is set to further expand and develop.
